Don Johnson (drj826) > Molly and Rosie have lots of fun on these walks but they're getting old. They get pretty stiff after we get home.

Don Johnson (drj826) > The woods are as I remember them. This area of trees has no lower branches. Perhaps they were harvested for firewood when USAFA was still running the SERE program.

Don Johnson (drj826) > This is an area of Pike National Forest called Saylor Park. It's about 10 miles north of Woodland Park along Rampart Range Road.

Don Johnson (drj826) > This is the first time I've been to this area in the Winter. There was about 10" of snow. Rosie had fun burrowing around for mice. She is, as you know, a fearless hunter of mice.

Don Johnson (drj826) > We had a gorgeous day to be tromping around in the woods. People with better four wheel drive vehicles than I had left tracks. We parked about a mile away from the (alleged) location of Chimney Peak.

Don Johnson (drj826) > Here we are. According to the GPS, this is the EXACT location of Chimney Peak. I think someone has moved it!

Don Johnson (drj826) > Look at the second of the two maps in this set of photos. See the little triangle at the end of the track? According to the map in my GPS receiver, this is Chimney Peak. We've been duped!
